Yo, Internet, what are you doing on the internet? Come to MeCAF. It’s starting right now.
At some point I think I was going to try to create an animated GIF out of this saying I came up with…but then I realized I have no time to make animated GIFs and I hate animated GIFs. So there’s that.

The Maine Comics Arts Festival (alias MeCAF, alias Forest City Comic Party, alias Ocean Gateway to the West…side…of the Atlantic Ocean….uh…) is taking place this Sunday, May 19th from 10am - 5pm. It’s $5.00 for anyone older than twelve-years old.
I’m really excited to be one of the exhibitors! I’ve never been to MeCAF…I guess I’ve never been to MeANYTHING! I’ll be exhibiting with (and bothering) Kenan Rubenstein, Cara Bean & Jason Viola! We’ll have tons of awesome comics, and friendly demeanors. I’m looking forward to foisting my kid-friendly comics onto many small hands…though Kenan already has all of my comics (ZING!)
Hope to see you there, New England!
Behold THE INFINITE CORPSE, a jam comic started in secret over a year ago by Aaron Renier, Nate Beaty and the other cartoonists of Chicago’s comics collective Trubble Club. Based on a combination of Raw’s Narrative Corpse project and Scott McCloud’sidea of the “infinite canvas,” it’s a kind of exquisite corpse comic focused around the skeleton Corpsey. There are already 200+ cartoonists who’ve participated (Art Spiegelman, Alison Bechdel, Pen Ward, Carol Tyler, Ivan Brunetti, Lilli Carré etc etc etc) and now it is open to everyone. So go, read! Contribute! Be a part of this ground-breaking new project!

Tomorrow is Saturday, May 4 - Free Comic Book Day! If you leave near a sophisticated comic shop, there is a good chance they will carry the new issue of Runner Runner! If they do carry it, there is an even better chance you can read a little homage to Harold and the Purple Crayon! And if you’re…
Yeah! Jason’s comic is so good in Runner Runner! Runner Runner as a whole is a great comic. AND IT’S FREE!
You may know that Sam Sharpe and I have been putting together a free comic for Free Comic Book Day for the past few years called Handout Comics. This year we’re releasing issue #3, which features four six-page stories by Me, Sam, Carter Lodwick and Ben Bertin.
We increased the comic’s distribution this year by 50%! Here is a list of the stores you will find Handout Comics #3 both in Chicago and across the country.
Chicago:
Carter will also be reading at Quimby’s as part of CAKE’s Free Comic Book Day Celebration, along with Jo Dery (who has a comic in the 2013 CAKE Digest -which is not free) & Corinne Mucha (who has a comic in Tugboat Press’ 2013 Runner Runner, which is free)! Here is more information about the event.
I took photos at the Stumptown Comics Fest this year. They didn’t all turn out terrible. http://www.flickr.com/photos/yousurearegreat/sets/72157633399103608/
